Our Covid-19 Protocols
Renaissance Carnival takes Covid-19 extremely serious and will take every precaution to ensure the safety of our guests. We work very closely with the local government of every city and country that we host an experience with to make sure that both theirs and our standards of cleanliness, safety, and risk mitigation are compliant and conducive a fun and Covid-19 safe trip!
Renaissance Carnival will always take the following precautions:
- Follow local and federal gathering protocols
- Employ multiple Covid-19 compliance officers for each event (indoor and outdoor)
- Requests proof of Negative Covid-19 test results or proof of a completed Covid-19 vaccine within 4 days of trip departure
- Requests the use of masks for indoor spaces and where required to enhance physical distance safety in buses and other smaller spaces. Outside spaces will follow city requirements respecting physical distancing and may not require masks.
Renaissance Carnival is not responsible or to be held liable for any changes in Covid-19 protocols or policies in various countries, states, parishes, boroughs, cities, counties, districts, or provinces.

GENERAL
When are you releasing set times for each day?
Event details will be posted on our website and all our socials closer to the day of the festival. Set times can also be found in our festival guide that will be passed out at the gates and various spots throughout the festival grounds. Stay tuned to our social media and emails for updates.
I ordered merch online/at the festival and I haven’t received it yet. Who can I talk to for an update on my merch order?
Please contact our Merch Team at merch@RenaissanceCarnival.com with your Name, Email, and Order Number and our Merch Team will get right back to you.
Where will we be able to park? How much will parking be?

FAQ’s
PARADE
What am I allowed/not allowed to bring? What kind of bag will I be allowed to carry at the parades?
Bags are acceptable to bring. Bags such as backpacks, bladders, and fanny packs are all fine.
I’m an upcoming model or artist and I would kill it at a Renaissance Carnival or RCW event! Are you accepting submissions? How can I get a slot to perform?
Please forward all submissions to rcwglobal@renaissancecarnival.com . If we’re interested, your team will hear from us. In the meantime, keep grinding and run those stream counts up!
What if it rains?
All Caribbean Carnival Parades are rain or shine events.
What kind of food will there be at the Parade?
Awesome food, of course. We will have all sorts of options American, local cuisine, vegetarian and vegan options included. Water, soft drinks, and liquor will also be available on-site for purchase.
Are there lockers available at the festival?
No, lockers will not be available.
How can I charge my phone at the festival?
Portable chargers will be available for purchase through Electric Standard Co. Attendees can charge on the go, no matter what type of device they have. Will I be able to take Uber or Lyft to the festival?
Yes!
Will this be indoors or outdoors?
The festival will be held outdoors.
Ok, how do I obtain a press pass then?
Photo passes will only be granted to media companies. If you’re a photographer that happens to work for a media company and interested in covering the event, please email info@RenaissanceCarnival.com.
Will there be ATMs available onsite?
The parade is typically held in downtown or main roads. There will be ATMs available in case you need to withdraw cash,but keep in mind the locations will be unpredictable. We recommend coming with your own cash. Note, there will be a service fee for using the ATMs onsite.
Where can I find the parade route map?
The map will be released ahead of time and will be posted on our site as well as all our socials.
Will cash/credit be accepted for merch and food vendors?
Yes, BOTH cash and credit are accepted at event and festival grounds.
Do you represent a brand interested in sponsoring the festival?

FAQ’s
EVENTS
I bought an event ticket but now I can’t make it anymore. How do I get a refund?
All sales are final. We also offer the option to insure your ticket in the event something happens and you can’t attend. Insurance must be bought at time of purchase and cannot be added to your order later on.
Is there an age limit for an RCW or a Renaissance Carnival event?
You must be 21+ to enter the VIP areas. You will need to show ID before entering the VIP viewing area.
Are RCW or Renaissance Carnival event tickets bought off a third party website accepted?
We do not accept RCW or Renaissance Carnival tickets purchased off third party websites like Ticket Gateway. We will not check if your passes are valid if you purchased tickets from a third party. You can avoid scams and fraudulent tickets by purchasing your passes directly from our website.
What is the difference between the tiers for tickets? How many tiers will there be? Will I be separated from my friends if I bought a ticket in a different tier?
The only difference is the price. Once one tier sells out, the ticket price goes up for the next tier. To get the best price, please purchase the lowest tier that is available. There are a few tiers so we suggest you buy your tickets as early as possible.
What am I allowed/not allowed to bring? What kind of bag will I be allowed to carry at the parades?
Bags such as backpacks and bladders are not acceptable. Purses, clutches, and fanny packs may be permitted.
Is there in-and-out/re-entry?
Different rules may apply depending on the venue and the event partner. Generally speaking No, entry is only permitted once a day.
What if ‘insert artist name’ doesn’t make it to the festival?
Lineup is subject to change. If anything changes, we’ll announce it on our socials.
Can we bring cameras into RCW or Renaissance Carnival events?
No professional cameras (cameras with interchangeable lens) without an approved photo pass will be permitted into the festival. GoPros are cool with us, as long as you keep the GoPro sticks at home.
What security precautions are you taking at RCW or Renaissance Carnival events?
We work closely with the police & fire department to make sure things go smoothly during your time at RCW and Renaissance Carnival events. All guests are subject to being searched prior to entry into the Event. By requesting entry into the Event, all guests shall be subject to a TSA-style pat down search, including emptying pockets and bags, walking through a magnetometer and having personal items examined.
Will cash/credit be accepted for merch and food vendors?
Yes, BOTH cash and credit are accepted at event and festival grounds.

TORONTO Transfers and Cancellations
Toronto Carnival 2020 Cancelation
Transfer Options:
1. You may use 100% of your payments towards Toronto Carnival 2022
2. You may use 100% of your payments towards any of the 5 other 2022 carnival packages provided by Renaissance Carnival.
All requests for refunds not submitted in writing by July 15, 2020 (90 after the cancellation of Toronto carnival) will not be honored.

This in most cases is more beneficial than cancelling your order.

Yes, you can cancel your travel package order. Please review the terms and conditions in regards to limitations, credits, and refunds. We often recommend TRANSFERRING your travel package as opposed to cancelling your order. This in most cases is more beneficial.

What does my costume package include?
– Your costume

Can someone collect my costume on my behalf?
Yes, follow these simple steps:
1) Log into your Renaissance Carnival account
2) Add a user to your account. This user would be the person who is collecting your costume.
3) Make sure that a clear headshot photograph of the person is uploaded.
4) When they come to collect, we will check your account and once we can verify with the photo attached that it is indeed the person to collect, the costume would be distributed. However, we still advise for them to walk with a valid ID.
I did not get a costume Can I be placed on a waiting list?
Absolutely, please contact each section leader directly, they each maintain a waiting list for costumes.
Will you resell any uncollected costumes?
Yes, all costumes not collected by closing hours on the final date of collection, will be made available for purchase to all interested waitlist masqueraiders that Friday evening. The sales transaction will be done on a first come first served, cash and carry basis. Management reserves the right to suspend this process at any time. If your costume remains unsold, you will not be refunded. If your costume is sold, you will receive a full refund minus transaction fees.
What is the price for resale costumes?
The price for all costumes is the advertised price as noted on our website.
Will the band house be open the day of the carnival?
No, the band house will not be open on that day. This is to allow our extended team adequate time to provide you with a premium experience on Saturday, Carnival day.
When do I collect my costume?
The costume distribution schedule will be emailed to all masqueraders, posted to our website and advertised on our social media channels. Different sections will have different distribution dates. The final date of official costume distribution will be determined shortly, after which all uncollected costumes will be resold at management’s discretion.
I missed my collection date – what do I do?
You can collect your costume on any day after your designated date until the end of official distribution. However, priority is given to persons collecting on their designated day.
I’ve purchased a costume from a reveller. How do I transfer the costume to my name?
Renaissance Carnival does not facilitate costume transfers.
When is my final payment due?
All balances must be paid on or before October 15th 2020. NO cash/card will be accepted at distribution. Costumes with balances after July 10th will automatically be uploaded for resale.
Can I make partial payments towards my costume?
Yes, you can make partial payments up until your final payment date, October 15th 2020.
Do you accept payment via PayPal/CashApp?
No, payments via PayPal/CashApp are not accepted.
Will there be a debit/credit card machine available at the band house?
Yes, no checks are accepted.
Where does the band meet?
The starting point is TBD however, an email will be sent out the day before with all information needed.
What time should we assemble at the stadium?
Masqueraders should assemble at 1pm.
Will breakfast be provided at the stadium?
Yes, a light breakfast will be provided to members of Renaissance Carnival.
I have on my costume, why do I have to wear my wristband?
Your security band identifies you as a member of Renaissance Carnival 2020 and also provides you with all of the amenities covered under your costume package. Please keep the band secure and do not remove the band unless requested.
I signed up for one section, but now I have changed my mind. Can I switch sections?
No, sections changes will not be permitted.
Can my husband/wife/partner parade in the band?
Renaissance Carnival only allows paying masqueraders to celebrate in the band. Non-masqueraders may observe from the sidelines outside the security ropes, however they will not be allowed to participate.
If my husband/wife/partner/friend is registered in a different section, can we still parade together?
Yes, there would be a short moment when all persons need to gather in their specific sections for judging. Once this is over, you are free to have #fun with everyone in the band.
